Rusya yaşanan ekonomik kriz sebebiyle Rus turist sayısı düşünce, güney sahillerindeki otellerinde geçen yılki hareketlilikten eser kalmadı. Turizmciler bu azalma nedeniyle 2 milyar dolar gelir kaybı olacağı görüşünde.
Rusya’nın yanısıra Bağımsız Devletler Topluluğu üyesi ülkelerden gelenlerin ayağı da kesildi. Rusya’dan 2014 yılında gelen turistlerin sayısı 5 milyona dayanmış ve Alman turistlerin ünvanına göz dikmişti. Alman turistlerin sayısında da her geçen yıl bir miktar düşüş olsa da yıl toplamında 5 milyon kişi Almanya’dan Türkiye’ye geliyor. Ancak yılın ilk 4 aylık verilerine bakıldığında Fransız ve İsrailli turistlerin sayısında önemli miktarda düşüş olduğunu görülüyor. 2015’in ilk 5 ayında yüzde 0.51 oranında azalan turist sayısı 6 milyon 967 bin kişide kaldı.
Milliyet gazetesinden Fehim Genç’in haberine göre, AKTOB Başkanı Yusuf Hacısüleyman, Rusya’daki ekonomik kriz nedeniyle yurtdışına çıkan Rus vatandaşı sayısında azalma olduğunu, bunun da Türk turizmini olumsuz etkilediğini söyledi. Rus turist sayısında geçen yıla göre yüzde 30 oranında azalma olacağını tahmin ettiklerini kaydeden Hacısüleyman, “Bu da 900 bin ile 1 milyon arasında turist demek. Bu azalma nedeniyle 2 milyar dolar gelir kaybı olur” diye konuştu. TÜROFED Başkanı Osman Ayık ise, “Turizm sezonu sıkıntılı bir dönem geçiriyor. Çok ciddi sorunlar var. Turist sayısında çok önemli düşüşler sözkonusu. Özellikle Rusya ve Bağımsız Devletler Topluluğu’ndan gelen turist sayısı düşmeye devam ediyor. Avrupa’dan gelen turist sayısında ise Alman turistler azalmaya devam ederken onlara Finliler de ayağını kesmeye başladı. İngilizler şimdilik başabaş gidiyor. Otel dolulukları iyi değil. Geçen yıla göre bir oran şimdilik verilemez, otel otel, bölge bölge değişiklik gösteriyor ama doluluk oranı geçen yılın altında. Yerli turist için sezon henüz başlamadı. İlköğretim yeni kapandı. Üniversiteler yeni yeni kapanıyor” dedi.
TÜRSAB Başkanı Başaran Ulusoy şunları söyledi: “Rusya’daki ekonomik kriz nedeniyle bu ülkeden gelen turist sayısında geçen seneye göre yüzde 27-28 oranında düşme var. Buna karşılık Almanya’dan gelen turist sayısında ise yüzde 10-12 oranında artış sözkonusu. Bunun gibi diğer birçok ülkeden gelen turistlerin sayısında da büyüme var. Haziran sonunda turist sayısı toparlanır. Yabancı turistlerin, ucuz olduğu için Yunanistan ve Mısır’ı tercih etmeleri gibi bir durum sözkonusu değil. Bize gelen turistler ile Yunanistan ve Mısır’a giden turistlerin beklentileri farklı. Kaldı ki onların hizmet ve otel kalitesi bizim tesislerimizle asla yarışamaz, bizimkilerin kalitesine erişemez.”
